Functionality Guide
AeroFind is an enterprise ground service platform that digitises the entire baggage recovery and lost property lifecycle. It replaces manual paper workflows, disconnected spreadsheets, and phone-based courier dispatch with a single, real-time command centre accessible to staff, administrators, and passengers.
Passengers access AeroFind through a clean, branded landing page. Each airline in the ground handler's network is presented as a selectable card. The passenger selects their airline and completes a structured PIR (Property Irregularity Report) form — capturing bag tags, flight details, delivery address, and contact information.
Structured fields for bag tags, flight numbers, delivery address, and temporary stay details. Validates input in real time.
Full localisation in English, German, Spanish, and Norwegian. Language selector persists across all pages.
Automated email with a secure tracking token. Passenger can update their details or track status at any time.
After filing, passengers receive a unique, tokenised link to a live case timeline. They can view every status change, update their delivery address, and see the assigned courier — all without calling in.
The Staff Portal is the operational heart of AeroFind. Ground agents see all incoming PIRs in a sortable, searchable queue with real-time metrics. Each report can be expanded for full details, status updates, WorldTracer reference management, and one-click courier dispatch.
Automatic IATA WorldTracer synchronisation. Create, update, and search PIR references directly from the staff dashboard without switching systems.
One-click shipping label generation via DPD REST API. The Haversine routing engine calculates the nearest logistics node for cost-optimal delivery.
Heuristic prioritisation for connection-critical and high-priority baggage. International routes are automatically flagged as Rush.
AI-driven pattern matching to predict outbound flight origins for found items, accelerating the matching process.
A dedicated module for on-board lost property (phones, wallets, documents). Separate from baggage PIRs, with its own search, inventory, and passenger notification flow.
The administrator console provides centralised configuration for the entire AeroFind deployment. All settings — company details, SMTP configuration, API keys, GDPR retention policies, and per-airline field rules — are managed from a single, secure interface.
Automated, professional email notifications fire at every status change — report confirmation, matching updates, courier dispatch, and delivery completion. Supports both PHP Mail and full SMTP relay configuration. Every email includes a secure link back to the passenger's self-service portal.
